One of our goals is to minister and provide care within our community of faith, while showing compassion in helping others who are under-resourced, or experiencing difficult challenges in their lives. We make a direct impact with the surrounding communities in our area and connect them to God, others, Ministry and to the world.
Areas to get help
Cf counseling center
It is our desire to see people live fully alive relationally. This is accomplished as individuals and families work through life’s challenges with a trained clinician and emerge with a more balanced and healthier relational life.
Our counseling center staff includes a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns. We all have different specialized training and experience, which allows us to offer assistance to individuals and families with a wide range of experiences.
celebrate recovery
The purpose of the Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and to celebrate God's healing power in our lives through "Eight Recovery Principles." This ministry allows people to "be changed" by working and applying biblical principles. Not only do you begin to grow spirituality, but also become free from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and, most importantly a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As you progress through the program you discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
grief follow-up
This ministry is open to volunteer leaders to care for those who are suffering from the grief of losing someone they love. Through scripture and real life experiences, we help walk them through the steps and stages of healing. All that is necessary is a warm smile, a listening ear and an open heart.
hospital visitation
Our team ministers to patients in hospitals and nursing homes on a daily basis until they are released. Opportunities to serve include hospital visitation, home follow-up and follow-up phone calls.
hurricane shutter team
We match people who are unable to put up hurricane shutters with those who are willing to serve others that are nearby them in a tangible way by putting up shutters. We envision enough people being willing to help put up hurricane shutters or assist in any way, and that each volunteer would have one house in his or her own zip code to help take care of. After you agree to serve in this way, you will be placed with a group of other volunteers. You will get a phone call or email letting you know which house your group will cover.
Missions
Intercessory Prayer Room: The Intercessory Prayer ministry attempts to maintain continuous prayer for others, as persons are enlisted to pray in one-half hour or one-hour time slots. The Intercessor chooses a time from the Prayer Room schedule, with hours available from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. If you are hesitant about praying with others, the Prayer Room is where you can come alone and pray with confidence at your own pace.
Our ePrayer Team commits to one-half hour or one hour a week to pray at home for our church ministries. They received by email a list from our staff of needs to pray about that week.
