F.A.Q.

1) What is this?

We will be sharing where God is leading us as a church and how your generosity and influence will impact our ability to reach people for Christ.

2) Who all was invited?

We gathered together people at CF who have invested significantly in our church in terms of either their leadership, their influence, or their generosity.  Eventually, we will roll this out to the rest of the church, but we have gathered together a smaller group of folks first so they can lead the way for others.  It's very possible we missed someone. Our church is so large! But we tried to do the best we could to be inclusive of these three categories of leaders in our church.

3) Is this about money?

It is, but not in the way you might think.  It's actually about so much more than that. It's about an adventure we are going to go on as a church to deepen our understanding of God's Word and our response as it relates to generosity.  This is an underdeveloped area of our discipleship as followers of Christ, and we want to unleash God's potential for each one of us in this area of our faith while at the same time unleash God's potential for us as a church as we move into this next chapter at CF.  We are really excited about what is ahead.

4) What do I tell people who weren't invited?

First, share with them who was invited and why they were invited. (Reference #2 above.) If someone is thinking they SHOULD'VE been invited based on the criteria you shared above (which is subjective and not just about financial giving), then bring that name to Debbie, Jim, Omar, or Rick, and it will be considered for invitation.

5) How does CF have the money to pay for these retreats?

These retreats are being underwritten by some families at CF who are so passionate about this next season of ministry that they wanted to provide this experience at no cost to CF.

6) What do I wear to this?

Business casual on Friday night; casual on Saturday morning.  Be comfortable!

7) Can I bring my family?

We love families at CF!  However, this is an event for adults at this time.  We want to really focus in on some key areas of growth for us as a church and for us as individuals, so we want you to be freed up to be able to focus personally.  It's also a relatively quick amount of time, so we have a very packed agenda with a lot of "talking time," which might not be as conducive for families for this particular event.  We aren't providing childcare for this event, but please let us know if you are having challenges finding childcare, and we'll see what we can do to help.
