Frequently Asked Questions

What do Tuesday night gatherings look like?

Tuesday night is our weekly gathering for Young Adults between the ages of 18-29. Here we connect to community through worship, group study, breakouts, and fellowship. Our commitment is to help Young Adults follow Jesus, build community, and live a purposeful life that will impact those around them.

What should I expect?

Making genuine connections as a Young Adult can be daunting, but on Tuesday nights it doesn’t have to be. Connected as a family but with our own flavor each campus has a distinct personality and with five to choose from, you’ll be sure to find your YA fam. If it’s your first time, be sure to speak with your director so we can get you connected because the spirit of fellowship should always continue throughout the week.

What do we value?

At Young Adults, we believe that accountability and discipleship should be instilled at any given moment. By doing this, it allows for open dialogue and edifying conversations that rise up a people strong in their convictions ultimately living out the great commission.

What is The Merge?

The Merge is our once a month service where we bring all of our Young Adult campus ministries to one location. On the last Tuesday of every month, we all come together for a night of food, fellowship, a powerful message, live worship and more.

What is Adult-ish?

Adult-ish is the Young Adults podcast powered by the Christ Fellowship Miami Young Adults ministry. Through this podcast, we tackle relatable (and sometimes sensitive) topics experienced by Christian YA's in today's society.

THIS WEEK'S MESSAGE

The Hidden Work

Part 2: Turn Down the Volume

The new year invites fresh starts, but lasting change is formed in quiet places. In a world filled with constant noise, notifications, and distractions, God invites us into a hidden discipline that often feels uncomfortable but deeply transformative: silence and solitude. In this message, Turn Down the Volume, we look at the life of Jesus and discover that even at the height of His ministry, He intentionally withdrew to quiet places to pray. Silence and solitude were not an escape from responsibility, but a rhythm that sharpened His hearing, clarified His purpose, and fueled faithful obedience. This sermon is part of our series The Hidden Work, where we focus on spiritual disciplines that shape us beneath the surface before they ever show results outwardly. Silence doesn’t mean emptiness. It creates space. Space to hear God clearly, to become aware of what’s happening in our hearts, and to respond with obedience rooted in love. If your life feels loud, rushed, or spiritually dull, the invitation is simple but powerful. Turn down the volume. God often speaks, not through the chaos, but through a whisper. Scripture References Luke 5:15–16 Mark 1:35 Psalm 62:1 1 Kings 19:11–12 Psalm 46:10 John 14:15 Key Themes Silence and solitude quiet the noise of the world Solitude is intentional, isolation is empty God often speaks most clearly in silence Silence reveals the roots of our struggles Hearing God leads to healing and clarity Time with God fuels faithful obedience Silence and solitude aren’t about withdrawing from life forever. They prepare us to reenter life with clarity, confidence, and obedience. When we intentionally make space for God, we begin to recognize His voice, trust His character, and follow His commands with joy rather than obligation. If you’ve been praying for direction, healing, or clarity but feel like God is silent, it may not be that He hasn’t spoken. It may be that the volume around you is too loud. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God…”

The Waiting Room

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of life. Whether you’re waiting for a job, a relationship, healing, or direction, it can feel like God is silent. But the Bible shows us that waiting isn’t wasted—it’s where God shapes us, strengthens us, and prepares us for what’s next. In this episode, we dive into what it means to wait well with God. We’ll talk about the struggles, the frustrations, and the hope that comes when we trust His timing. Through Scripture, real-life stories, and practical encouragement, you’ll learn how to turn seasons of waiting into seasons of growth.

YA's 5 Year Celebration

The Best is Yet to Be Built

God has been faithful, and He’s not done yet. As we celebrate five years of Young Adults, we look back with gratitude and move forward with greater faith, deeper discipleship, and a bigger vision for what He’s building next. In this video, we dive into Joshua 4, where God tells His people to take twelve stones from the Jordan River as a memorial, not for nostalgia, but for testimony. In the same way, every story, every life changed, and every person who’s encountered Jesus in these past five years is a stone that declares: “God has been faithful here.” But the best is yet to be built, because Jesus, the true Builder, is still at work. Scripture References * Joshua 1:1-3: God’s promise to Joshua * Joshua 3:1-6: Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow * Joshua 4:1-7: Stones of remembrance * John 20:21: “As the Father has sent Me, so I am sending you.”
Key Themes * God’s faithfulness in the past gives courage for the future * Remembering what God has done fuels our obedience today * The best is yet to be built, Jesus is still building His Church

Baptisms

Every last weekend of the month

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. If you have accepted Christ, we would love to baptize you and share this special decision with you. We baptize the last Sunday of the month at our physical locations, except for Downtown, which holds baptisms on the 3rd Sunday of the month—unless the month has five Sundays, in which case it will be on the 4th Sunday.
